Caryn MacKenzie - Camp Director

Coach MacKenzie is in her 41st year of teaching and coaching at The Stanley Clark School. She has coached at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels (Saint Mary's College) throughout her tenure. She captained her soccer team at Quincy University in Illinois and has conducted clinics on a national stage for the United Soccer Coaches. Coach MacKenzie holds an advanced national NSCAA diploma and was a Field Director at World Cup Soccer Day Camp for 36 years. MacKenzie has assembled a staff of college and high school coaches, along with a number of the area's top prep stars. All staff coaches are carefully selected, not just for their ability to teach and coach, but also for working with, understanding, and relating to soccer players in the 6-14 age group. In November 2021, Coach MacKenzie was inducted into the Indiana High School Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame. She is the first female to receive this honor.

Mickey Doyle - Division Field  Director

This will be Coach Doyle's seventh summer working at Soccer Day Camp. She will be working with our youngest age group and brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. Coach Doyle holds a USSF D license and has 24 years of soccer coaching experience at the youth level. Coach Doyle has been teaching and coaching at The Stanley Clark School for the past 22 years and has coached MSA, Jr. Irish, and Invaders teams over the years.

James Hornor - Division Field Director

This will be Coach Hornor's sixth summer working at Soccer Day Camp. He will be working with our older age group and brings a ton of energy and knowledge to the field. Coach Hornor has over twenty years of soccer experience starting in youth soccer up through the collegiate level. Coach Hornor is the band/music teacher and 7th/8th-grade boys soccer coach at The Stanley Clark School.  He started the girls soccer team at Dickinson Fine Arts Academy 7 years ago and coached in South Bend Schools for 4 years before moving to Stanley Clark. He is very excited to be part of the World Cup Soccer Camp!

Nathaniel King - Division Field Director

Coach King is entering his second summer working at Soccer Day Camp. He is the Director of Student Services and Leadership at the Stanley Clark School and Head of Girls' Soccer at Plymouth High School. King has over 18 years of coaching experience at the grassroots, youth (Colorado Rapids), high school (Culver Academies), residential academy (Shattuck St. Mary’s), and international levels (Haitian Women’s National Team). He also has over 18 years of playing experience at the academy level (Crystal Palace FC), semi-professionally (England, France, US), and professionally (Israel).  In education, Coach King has worked in various roles for 17 years. King holds licenses with the NSCAA, USSF, MLS, and the FA. He is motivated to pay it forward and help develop young generations with sound morals, character, and a growth mindset.

Mike Gionfriddo - Facilities Director

Mike hails from Virginia where he was heavily involved in playing soccer, Lacrosse, and basketball through college. Mike is the head coach for the South Bend Bears Lacrosse high school team. 

George Phillip - Camp Registrar

George is serving in his sixth year as camp registrar and is excited to be a part of the Soccer Day Camp tradition! He is currently a classroom teacher and Director of Technology Integration at The Stanley Clark School. George grew up playing soccer, basketball, and rugby in his hometown of Grand Haven, MI.
