Caryn MacKenzie - Camp Director

Coach MacKenzie is in her 36th year of teaching and coaching at The Stanley Clark School. She has coached at the youth, high school and collegiate levels (Saint Mary's College) throughout her tenure. She is currently headed into her 16th season as the head girls' coach at John Adams HS. She captained her soccer team at Quincy University in Illinois and has conducted clinics on a national stage for the United Soccer Coaches. Coach MacKenzie holds an advanced national NSCAA diploma and was been a Field Director at World Cup Soccer Day Camp for 33 years. MacKenzie has assembled a staff of college and high school coaches, along with a number of the areas top prep stars. All staff coaches are carefully selected, not just for their ability to teach and coach, but also for their ability to work with, understand, and relate to soccer player in in the 6-14 age group. 

Clint Tallman - Division Field Director

Clint is the La Lumiere High School (La Porte, Indiana)  Girls' Head Coach entering his 8th season this fall.  He has played at the Division I and NAIA level in college as well as on amateur clubs in Scotland, Australia, and the Czech Republic. He holds a United States Soccer Federation D license and earned a USSF C National license last summer. Clint has been coaching at World Cup Soccer Day camp for 12 years. He attended World Cup Soccer Day Camp as a camper for nine years and knows the camp culture and philosophy well.

Mickey Doyle - Division Field  Director

This will be Coach Doyle's second summer working at Soccer Day Camp. She will be working with our youngest age group and brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. Coach Doyle holds a USSF D license, and has 21 years of soccer coaching experience at the youth level. Coach Doyle has been teaching and coaching at The Stanley Clark School for the past 20 years and has coached MSA, Jr. Irish and Invaders teams over the years.

 James Hornor - Division Field Director

This will be Coach Hornor's first summer working at Soccer Day Camp. He will be working with our older age group and brings a ton of energy and knowledge to the field. Coach Hornor has over twenty years of soccer experience starting in youth soccer up through the collegiate level. Coach Hornor is the band/music teacher and 7th/8th grade boys soccer coach at The Stanley Clark School.  He started the girls soccer team at Dickinson Fine Arts Academy 6 years ago and coached in South Bend Schools for 3 years before moving to Stanley Clark. He is very excited to be part of World Cup Soccer Camp!

Josh Aaron - Division Field Director

Josh Aaron joins the World Cup Soccer Day Camp staff as a Field Director for our middle age group. Josh has been a consistent presence at WCSDC as a camper and coach for over 10 years. Josh played high school soccer at LaPorte HS and competed collegiately at Bethel College for 4 years. His coaching experience includes head coach for the Mishawaka boy’s program for one year and he just completed his first year of collegiate coaching as an assistant coach for Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio. We are thrilled to have Josh back for another summer of camp!

Mike Gionfriddo - Facilities Director

Mike is entering is 6th year as Athletic Director and 7th grade boys Latin Teacher at Trinity School at Greenlawn in South Bend. He hails from Virginia where he was heavily involved in playing soccer, Lacrosse, and basketball through college. Mike is the head coach for the South Bend Bears Lacrosse high school team. 

George Phillip - Camp Registrar

George is serving in his second year as camp registrar and is excited to be a part of the Soccer Day Camp tradition! He is currently a classroom teacher and Director of Technology Integration at The Stanley Clark School. George grew up playing soccer, basketball, and rugby in his home town of Grand Haven, MI.
